Home for Christmas

Well, I have been waiting to write until I had some funny pictures from PE Class but there hasn't been a lot of exercising going on during this tour! The weather, lack of gyms, and many other factors have meant more sitting around time and more board games. So I am including a picture Kurt Heinecke took of me singing with Sixpence None the Richer at the Ryman show, what a fun night. The day of the Ryman show is always stressful because I am darting from home to the bus to the stage, trying to spend time with the kids but only having a few hours, then preparing to play on a stage I have no right to be on! There is this unspoken pressure because you know how much great music has graced that beautiful room. The night felt magical and singing with Sixpence was the icing on the cake. I love being a part of this tour and getting to tell the Christmas story over and over again.
We just finished the last show of the tour in Ohio which is always a joy. Karen and Jenny make some of the best food you have ever tasted in your life and the crowd was responsive and generous. I am sitting on the bus while the guys watch some sort of obnoxious and action-filled show. We were planning on seeing a movie tonight and thankfully it didn't work out- I am the only one who wanted to see anything other than Avatar. I will admit that being on a bus full of guys is easier emotionally than being on a bus full of girls, but I will be thankful to choose my own shows again:)
Now that I am feeling the satisfaction of completing this fun tour I look forward to a quiet Christmas with my family. Thank you, thank you for your support this past year. I will be working on a few new projects this coming year and will be sure to keep you updated as details unfold. Until then, a very Merry Christmas to you and those you love.
Hi Jill,
I was at the show in Milford, Ohio, and spoke with you briefly afterwards. Your voice is such a gift from God. Thanks for sharing it. Your husband is SO talented and such a hoot! Love Andrew Peterson's work. Thanks for being a part of it!
