It's Cold Outside

Well, Nashville has been frigid lately. I realize to those of you who live in REAL cold climates I am offending you right now. I am not used to this kind of cold, however. And I am definitely not used to running in this kind of cold. I was tired of being stuck inside and knowing the 5K is this Saturday I decided to run my three miles yesterday in 15 degree weather. Not a smart decision. I was feeling fine until I got back to my driveway and proceeded to come inside and lay down on the kitchen floor for five minutes. I think I literally saw The Big Dipper on the inside of my eyelids. Not the triumphant she-woman entrance I wanted to show my children. So I am hoping that this Saturday is a nice and balmy 40 degrees:)

Thankfully shows are coming in and we will post them on the site. I am looking forward to Florida in a few weeks and Green Bay after that. I always love playing in Green Bay and while we are on the topic of cold, I was the coldest I have ever been in Green Bay in the winter. It beat Alaska and Denmark hands down. And one guy was going to play golf that day because he thought it was warm. Those people are fierce up there!

I will post more after my run on Saturday, or short jog if you are one of those marathony types.

Have you ever been to St. George Island before? My family and I vacation there yearly and it is incredible. I think I may have commented on this before, I am not sure.

I grew up in Nebraska so I know that Nashville isn't actually ever that cold. However, after a few years of living here, even I think it's cold here sometimes. I'm losing my frigid temperature tolerance I guess.

Blessed to be a blessing...
